Much Nicer in Person and a Great Value, December 22, 2011 By This review is from: Orient Men's FFD0F001W Vintage Power Reserve Meter Watch (Watch) Apologies to Amazon since I bought this through other channels. That out of the way, now about the watch! This looks great in person, nicely proportioned and very handsome dial. The hands are tastefully delicate but no so much so that they hinder reading. In fact, the readability is excellent and very pleasing to the eye. The case is much more polished looking in person and is a delight on the wrist. The watch feels great, not too heavy but present and well snug to the wrist. Good quality strap and the locking clasp is easy to use and secures the watch so it is not possible to drop it accidently if the strap isn't secured in the buckle.
I think value wise this is a winner. It has a sapphire crystal on the outside and a view glass on the reverse side that allows you to marvel at the movement and watch the winding weight circle around. The look and feel of this watch rivals Swiss offerings that cost many times as much. Orient makes excellent movements and now this is the 2nd... Read more
My go to watch, March 16, 2012 By This review is from: Orient Men's FFD0F001W Vintage Power Reserve Meter Watch (Watch) I own this watch and it looks great. The picture here really does it justice. The case is about a cm thick and the size of the dial is 42 mm. It is trim enough to wear with a suit or dress shirts in all but the most formal settings. The automatic watch keeps time and has a 40 hour battery back up that fills up with movement from wearing it. I have worn mine for six months and the sapphire crystal watch face has 0 scratches and I bang it around. The stainless steel watch strap is also highly scratch resistant, with the exception being the clasp, which has some light scratching on it. All in all this is my favorite watch I own and I get compliments on it weekly.
